Provided you have a specific budget and would like to take your real estate marketing to the next level, you may consider using real estate marketing services at some point.

Companies offering this service tailored to the real estate industry can help you achieve goals and get you ahead of your competition.

But not all of these companies may be a good fit, and as always, results are not always guaranteed.

Therefore, in this article, I will cover…

  • What real estate marketing services are in the first place
  • 5 Criteria for evaluating these services
  • 11 real estate marketing companies and their services (including an overview table)

I hope this article will help you make an informed decision. At least you should know, after reading it, the difference between marketing and lead generation.

So let’s get going…

Let’s Be on the Same Page: What Are Real Estate Marketing Services?

To understand what real estate marketing services are, we first need to look into the definition of marketing in general.

And for starters, marketing isn’t a synonym for lead generation or advertising. It’s much more than that.

The most recent definition of marketing from 2018 by marketing author and educator Philip Kotler is this: “…the process by which companies engage customers, build strong customer relationships, and create customer value in order to capture value from customers in return (source)

Another complementary definition is to define marketing as “a set of processes that are interconnected and interdependent with other functions of a business aimed at achieving customer interest and satisfaction” (source)

This last one is my favorite since it sounds less theoretical and generic.

If we apply this definition to the characteristics of the real estate industry, we get real estate marketing, and already by the above definition, you may see that lead generation is only a subset of marketing.

Lead generation is part of the above definition stating “achieving customer interest.”

This “customer interest” is usually achieved by using different marketing and communication channels, such as outbound (e.g., cold calling) or inbound (e.g., content marketing) lead generation methods.

You may also realize that marketing ideally is interconnected with different business areas, such as product or service development (there are many more business areas than that).

Service development is more relevant to most real estate businesses (e.g., agents, brokerages, or active investors).

Product development would also be relevant to property development firms.

Based on the above, real estate marketing services should therefore include services that offer real estate lead generation to achieve customer interest and embed it into a  strategy tailored to the real estate pro’s goals and business processes to achieve client satisfaction.

In other words, any service offered by a real estate marketing company that doesn’t provide a service tailored to a real estate business’s individual needs and goals, also considering business processes and customer satisfaction, wouldn’t be a real estate marketing service.

So it could be just companies offering lead generation or real estate marketing materials, templates, etc. But it would be independent of a tailored real estate marketing strategy.

And spoiler alert: this is the case most of the time, as you will find out in the coming sections of this article.

5 Criteria to Evaluate Real Estate Marketing Companies’ Services

Before evaluating the different “real estate marketing” companies, we first need some criteria to analyze them.

I identified the following criteria to create an overview table of all the real estate marketing services and companies out there, so you can see for yourself which one might be a fit (if you are looking for one):

1) Pricing

Pricing doesn’t say much about a “real estate marketing” service. For instance, if only real estate lead generation is offered, you may get leads at a low monthly cost.

However, you may pay a higher price later when you discover they are low-quality, ice-cold, and non-exclusive.

Nevertheless, if available, I will include the price in the overview table so you can compare a bit where possible.

2) Service Offerings

This criterion is more essential. Why? By knowing the “real estate marketing” services offered, we can conclude whether we are talking about a marketing service or just a service of a subset of real estate marketing.

3) Experience (Years in Business)

Measuring experience by years is not optimal.

I don’t know about you, but I have already met many elderly people that, by their years being on this earth, should have a lot of experience, but when you hear them talk, you may think you are talking to an aged child.

And I am not referring to elderly people, unfortunately, suffering from a degenerative illness of the brain (e.g., Alzheimer’s, etc.).

So the number of years does not necessarily equal the degree of valuable experience.

However, they can give a somewhat good hint that the real estate services company has done something right.

To find that out, I researched the companies’ websites and via the webarchive to determine the number of years it has been in business.

4) Is Strategy Development Offered?

This criterion is another essential one. Why?

Based on the initial introduction form above, we can deduce whether the respective real estate marketing service company can be called such from a yes or no answer to this question.

5) Method Transparency

With this criterion, I wanted to determine whether the company is transparent about its methods and practices.

Of course, I didn’t expect the secret sauce to be publicly available on their website, but at least some mention of their methods.

General Considerations

I only considered companies with at least some experience in the real estate industry and focusing on service.

Excluded were companies mainly offering software, with maybe some service offered as the cherry on top.

So the included companies should at least lean towards being a full marketing service agency with experience in the real estate industry.

11 Real Estate Marketing Companies and Services

In this section, I briefly describe each of the 11 real estate marketing companies and the services I found in my research.

1)  iNCOM

As you can see in the overview table in the next section below, iNCOM isn’t a full-service real estate marketing agency.

Still, it focuses on personalized real estate website building and lead generation via an online marketing system.

Let’s Evaluate the 11 Real Estate Marketing Companies (Overview Table)

As you can see in the above table, most real estate marketing service companies didn’t disclose their pricing.

It is understandable since the more you lean toward being a full-service marketing agency the more you will tailor the services to the customer and thus not be able to offer a flat price.

For some, I could find a ballpark number that cam from this source.
